Cindy`s on 34 in Mendota

Very nice menu with so many choices! Hard to decide. Excellent staff. Food arrived in good time and was very tasty. New computer system messed up our checks, but hostess fixed right away. Too full for the little chocolate mousse frogs in the dessert case, we'll have to go back for those!

The day we were there they were extremely busy. We walked in and we're greeted and seated in less than 3 minutes. Had a wonderful meal in a very short time after ordering. I stop by here every time I'm in the area.

The food was pretty basic, like you would expect from a diner. The staff was polite and attentive. The cleanliness wasn't spectacular, possibly due to when we arrived, which wss just after the dinner rush. What seemed odd was that they were busy for a Sunday evening in a small town. Given the opportunity I would go back and try their breakfast. Based on just that single meal I would give them three stars. The value certainly is better than someplace like McDonald's.

This place was really nice. I was surprised because it is a restaurant inside a gas station. But it was impeccably clean, comfortable, and pleasant inside. The food was really good too. The service was a little slow but it would be difficult to predict traffic on a Monday night. I will definitely go back there again.

Good breakfast homemade crispy hash browns skip the bacon restaurants never get it crisp enough.

With a constantly updating menu and amazing specials Cindy's is constantly a favorite of ours. The food is great, the owner and staff are wonderful, and it is always clean. Its not often I rate anyplace 5 stars but Cindy's has definitely earned it.

Foods was very good. Our waitress was really good. Cked on us 2 or 3 times and was very friendly and pleasant.

Good food and really good service with reasonable prices. The dining room was clean, the salad bar is on the small side but it was clean and well stocked even though we got here late. Large menu with something for everyone.

Our party of seven arrived without reservations and we're seated immediately. The waitress was very polite and attentive during our entire visit, don't think anyone's drink ever came close to being empty. All seven in our party had different meals and all seven were pleased with their selection.

Hidden gem! As much as we've passed through the area, this is the first time we've enjoyed a meal here. Staff is professional and food was served incredibly fast. Will definitely return!

Great food, service, prices. Huge portions. A real hidden gem.

A lot of work has gone into this establishment, new hardwood floors, new lighting, etc. The prices are still reasonable and the food was excellent. For those still uneasy about dining inside, there is a outside dining area to dine el fresco.

Downer to find it was attached to gas station. Had the fish platter. Unfortunately they were out of the scallops. So replaced with double order of shrimp. The fish platter itself was good but the sides were terrible. I chose the baked potato and green beans. The baked potato looked good and I really like baked potatoes, but it was most certainly cooked several days ahead. Tasted old. The green beans were canned. Husband had open faced hot beef sandwich. His mashed potatoes with meal were also old. My advice would be that if you want return customers, don't try to save money serving yesterday's food. The ice cream that came with my meal tasted like it had been sitting in freezer open, picking up an old flavor.

Hell of good food a little spendy but worth it once in awhile wife and I both had prime rib mine was excellent hers was not done enough and they took it and came perfect for her. Excellent staff building in construction mode but restaurant was clean and in good shape

Don't be fooled by the outside. An older truck stop type place. Service is friendly. Food delivered fast and hot. I had a cinnamon French toast that wasn't heavy or too sweet. Very fresh taste. The crepes are perfectly made. Cream of chicken rice soup steaming and very good. Everyone was happy with their choices. Prices very reasonable.

We decided to try a local restaurant on our passing through. Cindy's had a welcoming entrance and friendly wait staff. We were waited on quickly. The menu had an overabundance of selections.what I liked alot was when I ordered my sandwich which came with fries I wanted to order a side of steamed veggies but some restaurants will charge if you want to substitute. However the waitress automatically offered to to do the steamed veggies instead. Yes! The food was pretty good but the tomatoes were a tad bit hard and the taco salad was too salty. The beef cabage soup was delicious. The salad bar was very limited. However I would definitely encourage others to stop by. The waitress was outstanding, the food came very quickly and the prices were very reasonable.

BP gas station and busy restaurant. Locals and travelers alike love it. Fast kitchen large menu with ample serving, lite food available. Great soup and many pies to choose. Waitresses quick accurate and know their menu. Lite fair plate.

Cindy's on 34 is just off the freeway and connected to a gas station, but don't let that deter you from eating here. They served breakfast all day, have really good prices, pretty quick service, and very friendly staff. A nice mom and pop place to stop.

Amazing customer service and great food.

This place started off promising. The service is quick, the salad bar is simple but OK, the food however, was mixed. We had 5 people in our party, the breakfast items were good but the pork tenderloin was dry and flavorless. The mashed potatoes were clearly instant and the dark brown gravy was just plain odd. The crepes had large chunks of fruit in them. I would get the skillet or a basic breakfast. The "pie case" mentioned in other reviews was empty so don't expect pie. Most of the regulars seemed to be happy ordering fried fish and shrimp so if that is your thing then you are good. Other than that order breakfast and you are in good shape. Overall a good restaurant with a inconsistent execution.

A diamond hidden in the rough! Casual dinner atmosphere with great food and service. Breakfast hash browns taste fresh grated not rehydrated. The corn beef breakfast hash is fantastic! Don't be afraid to give it a try!
